Tenstorrent raises $1.5 billion to develop open AI hardware

Semiconductor startup Tenstorrent secured $1.5 billion in funding at a $6.2 billion valuation to expand its open architecture AI chips. The funding will fuel efforts to build alternatives to Nvidia market dominant GPUs.
