OpenAI Launches Grid Protectors Program for Data Center Power Needs

OpenAI introduced an initiative designed to temporarily reduce electricity usage at data center campuses during periods of high grid demand. The program begins with a campus in Georgia capable of reducing demand by up to one gigawatt when grid stress occurs.
