Researchers Convert Old Smartphones into Autonomous Walking Robots

Engineers designed PhoneBot, a small robotic frame powered by a standard mobile phone that handles navigation and visual tracking. The phone uses built-in camera sensors and orientation hardware to balance the quadruped robot. Build files have been made freely accessible for public experimentation.
