MulmoTerminal

A new open source project called MulmoTerminal has been released on GitHub to simplify how software engineers work with automated coding assistants. Developed by a user named receptron under an MIT license, the tool creates a visual grid inside a web browser to run and monitor multiple artificial intelligence programming sessions simultaneously. It connects to tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, giving developers a centralized view of their automated workflows.

As software creation shifts toward relying on multiple AI agents working in tandem, keeping track of several active command line windows can quickly become confusing. MulmoTerminal addresses this friction by bringing all active sessions into a single interface and clearly signaling whenever a specific assistant requires human intervention or approval. This setup makes managing complex, parallel coding tasks far less chaotic for software teams.

While the application provides a cleaner interface for heavy AI users, its local execution model relies on existing system utilities like tmux, meaning setup and hardware performance remain the user's responsibility. An open question is whether established code editors will build comparable multi-agent management views directly into their desktop applications, which could determine if standalone browser grids remain a niche utility or become standard developer equipment.
