Google tests conversational medical bot while Utah evaluates automated prescribing

Google evaluated its clinical conversational assistant AMIE across 98 patient interactions prior to primary care appointments. In a separate initiative, Utah authorities approved pilot projects allowing artificial intelligence to process select prescription renewals with reduced human oversight.
