Google acquires bankrupt airline's chat logs for model training

Google won a bankruptcy auction to purchase 100 million emails and 500 million internal Teams messages from Spirit Airlines for $10 million. The tech company intends to use the text dataset to train machine learning models, while customer records were omitted from the deal.
