Electronic Nose System Transmits Scents Across the Internet

Researchers at Ohio State University created Scentronic, a prototype capable of identifying scents and transmitting them to a wearable device that releases a matching aroma. The initial system recognizes five distinct aromas including coffee, wine, and beer. Commercial deployment will require expanding the system's scent library.
