A new system called Atlaso aims to give artificial intelligence applications a shared memory layer across separate software tools. According to details on the company's website, the software connects with coding environments such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code to maintain continuous context. Instead of treating every conversation as a blank slate, the application quietly records project decisions and updates while users work.

For software developers who switch between multiple coding assistants, this setup prevents the tedious task of constantly re-explaining project details. If a user updates a project timeline or flags a bug in one tool, Atlaso saves that context and automatically supplies it when the user opens a different connected app. The system also automatically strips out sensitive data, such as account passwords, before storing any records.

While streamlining context transfer could save significant time, it is still uncertain how well the system handles conflicting information over longer timelines. It remains to be seen whether automatically inserting past session notes might accidentally clog simple prompts with outdated or unnecessary context.
