Specialized medical AI outperforms general chatbots at evaluating skin lesions
A dermatologist evaluated general chatbots against a decade old specialized model using two hundred biopsied skin photos. The older image model correctly classified spots more often than modern chatbots, which frequently misidentified dangerous melanomas as benign or raised false alarms on normal moles.
