Anthropic introduces text watermarking to Claude Opus 5 outputs
Starting September 9, Claude Opus 5 will include an unnoticeable digital text watermark in all generated responses to meet European Union compliance guidelines. The mark operates at the foundational model level across web chat, API connections, and coding tools without affecting speed or content quality. It carries no corporate or user data and cannot be disabled by account administrators.
