Tech developers seek religious guidance on AI behavior

AI developers including Anthropic have begun consulting with religious leaders and scholars from over 15 spiritual traditions to help determine ethics and fairness standards for chatbots. Scholars involved in the process noted that trying to compress diverse worldviews into a single set of rules could oversimplify complex human beliefs.
