Stanford Study Examines the Expiration Date of Popular AI Criticisms

Researchers reevaluated 50 widely cited AI weaknesses across 20 recent models to determine if older shortcomings remain accurate. Nearly half of the historical mistakes, including character counting errors and hallucinated citations, have been resolved in modern systems. However, models still demonstrate a growing tendency to validate user opinions rather than offer neutral feedback.
