Sourclip

A new browser utility called Sourclip has launched to give Google NotebookLM users extra tools for collecting research and saving outputs. The Chrome extension lets people import web pages, YouTube transcripts, documents, and chat logs from competing AI platforms into their notebooks with a single click.

Google NotebookLM has become a popular research assistant, but its native interface makes it difficult to quickly clip content from around the web or extract generated assets. Sourclip addresses these gaps by offering bulk imports, organizational folders, and export options for materials that Google usually keeps locked in the app, including generated audio summaries and interactive flashcards. According to the developer's website, all processing happens locally in the browser to maintain privacy.

While Sourclip offers free basic features, users must pay annually or buy a lifetime license for unlimited clipping and cloud syncing across devices. It remains uncertain how long third party tools like this will remain necessary, as Google frequently updates its own products to include missing management features. If Google adds direct export and folder tools natively in a future update, standalone extensions like Sourclip might struggle to justify a paid subscription.
