Smartwatches Can Estimate Blood Vessel Age from Wrist Pulses

Researchers from Peking University and OPPO trained an AI system on pulse recordings from over half a million smartwatch users. The technology measures arterial stiffness to estimate biological vascular age, helping identify heightened risks for high blood pressure and cardiovascular events.
