Moonwalkers Dusk
Moonwalkers Dusk are AI powered motorized wheel attachments that strap onto ordinary footwear to double a user's walking speed with minimal physical effort. Designed for commuters and pedestrians, the system dynamically adapts to individual gait patterns and supports foot gesture controls.
The Blend
Shift Robotics has launched Moonwalkers Dusk, a lighter set of motorized accessories that attach directly over regular shoes. As outlined in product materials from the company, the device utilizes artificial intelligence to study the user's stride, responding to subtle foot signals to boost travel pace with minimal exertion.
This approach offers urban pedestrians a potential middle ground between walking and riding electric scooters. By accelerating movement without requiring a bulky vehicle, the tech targets commuters seeking faster travel times while keeping their hands free and staying on foot.
However, practical questions remain regarding how easily wearers can transition between rolling and climbing stairs or navigating rough pavement. It is also unclear how city planners will handle pedestrians moving at bicycle speeds along crowded sidewalks.
