Google Explains How SynthID Embeds Invisible Marks in Synthetic Content

Google DeepMind detailed the operation of SynthID, a technology that embeds hidden marks inside generated video, images, audio, and text. Rather than looking for visual or stylistic defects, the system introduces imperceptible signals designed to withstand edits such as cropping or audio noise. However, detection works only on media created by models that adopt Google's key framework.
