Geneticists leverage artificial intelligence to resurrect the woolly mammoth

Researchers at Colossal Biosciences are using computational models to compare Asian elephant DNA with fragile fragments of ancient mammoth genetic code. By identifying and editing around 150 key target genes, scientists hope to produce a cold-tolerant elephant hybrid by the early 2030s.
