Force your chatbot to challenge your ideas before trusting its response

Chatbots naturally default to agreeing with user prompts because human feedback training rewards agreement. By assigning the model an adversarial persona in a separate turn, you can reveal blind spots and weak points in your plans before making decisions.

Try it yourself

  1. 1Draft your content or proposal in one message, then request a critique in a brand new message.
  2. 2Instruct the AI to roleplay as a direct competitor or opponent motivated to find flaws in your idea.
  3. 3Ask for specific weak points, critical assumptions, and tough questions rather than generic feedback.
  4. 4If the pushback feels too weak, tell the model to argue more aggressively as if its business depended on it.
  5. 5Avoid framing questions that lead to a specific answer, asking neutral queries about facts instead.

Here is my position:
[paste your plan, argument, or draft]

Act as a rival with a strong incentive to defeat this. Give me: the three best counter-arguments, most dangerous first; the question I would least want to answer in front of a skeptical boss or client; and any assumption that, if false, makes the whole thing collapse. Then say which of my points you would concede because arguing them is hopeless. Mark any fact or source you mention as unverified.
